The BIG 3 - South Mountain, McDowell Mountain and White Tank Mountain

Our most popular multi day tour takes you to three epic AZ riding spots in 3 days. The tour starts off at McDowell Mountain Park. Made famous by the Cactus Cup, these competition loops will challenge even the most seasoned rider. Then get ready for the second day of riding on South Mountain as you find an eager guide ready to show you the good stuff. Choose to ride the ripping XC trail Desert Classic or Head up for the climb of your life on National Trail. Written up in BIKE magazine as one of the top 10 trails in North America! National has it all, tech climbing, flowing downhill and rock-gardens that will make you glad you trained for your riding vacation! Finish up your Sonoran adventure in the White Tank Mountains. Nearly 30,000 acres makes this the largest regional park in Maricopa County. Most of the park is made up of the rugged and beautiful White Tank Mountains on the Valleys west side. The range, deeply serrated with ridges and canyons, rises sharply from its base to peak at over 4,000 feet. Infrequent heavy rains cause flash floodwaters to plunge through the canyons and pour onto the plain. These torrential flows, pouring down chutes and dropping off ledges, have scoured out a series of depressions, or tanks, in the white granite rock below, thus giving the mountains their name.

THE Sonoran Quickie - South Mountain and McDowell Mountain - Ride or Hike

Need something exciting to do for 2 days after a business conference or meeting? Enjoy a quick desert riding vacation! Let Cactus Adventures pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the mountains for a two day riding/hiking adventure!! The easiest and quickest way to REALLY experience the Sonoran Desert. Day 1 - We will start off with an epic ride or hike in the beautifully natural McDowell Mountains. Day 2 - Wake up early as your eager guide drives you to south mountain where you will enjoy one of the worlds largest city parks. Hike or Bike on the some of the best trails in the country!!
